Rear view
Also managed to fit the camera kit and test if it worked. This is a chinese kit that I bought from EBay.The monitor is a good size and Theres quite a good camera view also.Have purchased another smaller camera to fit at bumper level and still have to fit later.
Split Charge Wiring.
Finished the split charge system at the weekend. I used the method of 100amp
Relay and smartcom relay, with some fuses and 16mm cable. Followed a diagram which was posted on the SBMCC forum and some advice from another member. Thanks Barry .
I have fitted my leisure battery under the drivers seat,it's a 125amp/hr. There's just enough room to add another soon. The fusebox is located in a well in the floor, behind the drivers seat.I will be adding an inverter and battery charger in here at a later date. Have checked the LB with a meter and all seems To be working fine.

Raised bed
Started planning the rear fixed bed today. We had to go to Ikea the other day and I managed to pick up a bargain bed frame. It was originally £65, but reduced to £19.50 as it had a broken slat.I needed to shorten it to 1865 mm which resulted in loosing one slat! result! I've also narrowed the width to 1200mm and fixed it all back together.
For the frame I'm using 75x50mm timbers. One is to be fixed horizontal on the side ribs and then two vertical legs nearest the back doors. The other side will sit on some 18x40mm stud, which will form the bathroom wall on one side, and the wardrobe/ fridge wall on the other. This leaves a nice size garage under the bed for storage.I can't fix anything permanently yet until The waste tank and shower arrive.

Happy New Year.
Hello! I havn't posted for a while, so here's a quick update. I managed to get the floor battened insulated and boarded. Re fitted the ply to the sides. The fuse box didn't arrive in time so we bought some battery powered led lights. We were now ready for our Christmas trip to Spain.
Well it was quite an eventful trip! We arrived in France in the early hours and the Van decided to break down.It just cut out and wouldn't re start. After a day and a half in a Citroen garage it was still not fixed. Luckily we never leave the country without breakdown insurance.
So we set off in a hire car, picked the van up a week later. It was an electronic fault. Anyway we managed to spend our first night in the van at a camping car aire in Boulogne sur mer.
Now safely back home and ready to get going again.
